Overview

Light Manager is an Android application that facilitates customization of your device's LED notifications. This highly versatile app permits users to personalize both the color and flash frequency of their notifications, ensuring an enhanced and individualized user experience.

Functionality and Features

Upon launching the Light Manager application, users are presented with a streamlined interface. A drop-down menu, located on the left side of the screen, allows easy navigation to different sections of the app, including applications, battery, Internet connection, and status.

In the Applications section, users have the ability to set up LED notifications for various activities, such as missed calls and text messages. It also extends its functionality to other applications installed on the device. This flexibility allows users to easily distinguish between different types of notifications through color coding.

The Battery section is particularly useful for monitoring the device's power status. Users can set up notifications to alert them when the battery level dips below a specified threshold, ensuring that they are never caught off-guard by a dying battery.

The Internet Connection and Status sections offer similar customization options. They facilitate the creation of LED notifications for various network and device status changes, such as losing internet connection, connecting to a WiFi network, or activating Bluetooth.

Customization Options

One of the standout features of the Light Manager app is the level of customization it offers. When creating LED notifications, users can select from nine predefined colors. For those seeking additional customization, the app provides a hexadecimal color palette for the creation of unique shades. The LED flash frequency can also be adjusted, with options ranging from one to five seconds.

In conclusion, Light Manager is a powerful customization tool that offers a wide range of options for personalizing LED notifications on an Android device. Its user-friendly interface and extensive functionality make it a valuable tool for any Android user.

Potentially dangerous permissions

  • GET_ACCOUNTS: Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
  • READ_CALENDAR: Allows an application to read the user's calendar data.
  • READ_CALL_LOG: Allows an application to read the user's call log.
  • READ_CONTACTS: Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.
  • READ_PHONE_STATE: Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
  • READ_SMS: Allows an application to read SMS messages.
  • RECEIVE_MMS: Allows an application to monitor incoming MMS messages.
  • RECEIVE_SMS: Allows an application to receive SMS messages.
  • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Allows an application to write to external storage.

Other permissions

  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Allows applications to access information about networks.
  • ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
  • GET_TASKS: This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
  • INTERNET: Allows applications to open network sockets.
  • READ_LOGS: Allows an application to read the low-level system log files.
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting. If you don't request this permission, you will not receive the broadcast at that time. Though holding this permission does not have any security implications, it can have a negative impact on the user experience by increasing the amount of time it takes the system to start and allowing applications to have themselves running without the user being aware of them. As such, you must explicitly declare your use of this facility to make that visible to the user.
  • REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS: Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS. This is a normal permission: an app requesting it will always be granted the permission, without the user needing to approve or see it.
  • USE_FINGERPRINT: Allows an app to use fingerprint hardware.
  • WAKE_LOCK: Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
  • com.android.vending.BILLING
  • com.google.android.gm.permission.READ_CONTENT_PROVIDER
  • com.google.android.providers.talk.permission.READ_ONLY
  • com.koo.lightmanager.DISABLE_APP
